Uh oh, it looks like our beloved Lois Eastlund Anniversary Party might run into a bit of a scheduling conflict tomorrow. That's right. Turns out that 11/11 also represents the Fifth Anniversary Meeting of the Corduroy Appreciation Club.
Stop laughing, I'm serious.
Five years ago, some person said aloud, "You know? Corduroy is such an unappreciated fabric. We should start a club with a sole mission that is dedicated to appreciating corduroy."
And instead of his friends giggling, then telling him to shut up and pass it, they responded, "Finally! A society of people who will accept my corduroy-wearing ways!"
"The Corduroy Appreciation Club is a social club which wishes to cultivate good fellowship by the advancement of Corduroy awareness, understanding, celebration and commemoration of the fabric and all related items. Club events are held on dates which resemble Corduroy."
I'm sure you are crushed to hear that the event is "Invite Only." Fortunately for you, I found a video so you could put a face on the organization. Take a ride on this LOLacopter.
