Until designer Jac Langheim tried on her first latex dress, her thoughts on this rubber fabric matched that of most – appropriate only for fetish fashion, House of Harlot-style. Fortunately, she came to find that latex could be flattering and versatile, which inspired her collection primarily based on this material.

Utilizing unexpected ruffles, modern shapes, and classic silhouettes, Langheim creates a contemporary look that’s more Bunker Club than Club Vandersexxx. From full-skirt dresses to double-breasted trench coats, Jac successfully introduces a new texture to daywear. (Not to say that most of her dresses aren’t also perfect for cocktails atop the Park Ave G.)
