I must admit, as I walked down 1st street on Thursday evening, I wasn't expecting much. I've been to plenty of events that call themselves "industry networking parties" and most go like this:
"Oh hey, I'm a [photographer/wardrobe consultant/stylist/model/social media expert] and I'm really looking to break into the industry. What do you do?" Mix this repeated phrase with a struggling venue and a top-40 playlist, stir.
Yet fortunately, Passion Style PR's Fashion Networking Event did not descend to my expectations. Initially lured in by an open-bar and an interesting invitation, the District L dyad walked into an impressive event at LES lounge, La Vie.
Z!NK Magazine lined the tables with issues, blending nicely with the runway shows projected onto two large screens. The open bar boasted a summery lemonade cocktail and the music was reminiscent of a Custo Barcelona show.

Sandrine Briere, who has owned Passion Style for six years and counting, continues to overturn the common notion of public relations.
