In light of the tragic news that this old LES establishment is reaching its final days, District L would like to take a moment to remember Max Fish. It's been said that this 21-year-old bar single-handedly turned the Lower East Side into the nightlife destination it is today. Since it first opened in the early 90s, Max Fish regularly welcomed in characters like Dash Snow, members of The Strokes, and Elliot Smith.
