Have your friends noticed that you continue to check in at the same lame clothing stores on Foursqaure every week? Well, my friends, you are in luck.
Local Boutique, an App by Virtual Real Estate, locates nearby under-the-radar boutiques with independent appeal. District L favorite, Lois Eastlund, is listed on the locator, along with other select retailers.

Lara Stone is taking legal action against French Playboy, according to Independent UK. Stone claims that the nude photos that appeared in the magazine were unauthorized. The fashion model is suing the publication, as well as the photographer, Greg Lotus.
After sifting through all the news coverage on the matter, I still have this one unanswered question:
Do the French really need a Playboy? I mean, zut alors! It's a bit tame for our provocateur counterparts, no?

And shut up, Lara Stone. This is the most covered-up you've been in ages.

Damn the truth that exists within those repeated Ladytron lyrics. Young Gossip Girl actress, Taylor Momsen, becomes the face of John Galliano's new fragrance - on her seventeenth birthday. The not-yet-named scent will launch this coming fall.

The actress-turned-fashion-model signed with IMG in 2008 and continues to accumulate a long list of modeling gigs.

The third and last Stanton Street Summer Sunday ended a little over an hour ago with make-up mania, street-side shopping, and rapping grandmas. Yes, rapping grandmas.
Luckily, we didn't miss the belly-dancing session that took place under the warm LES sun.

A coworker and I were walking down Broadway yesterday, remarking on the Sidewalk Catwalk that had emerged in the Garment District over three weeks ago. Designers including Maria Cornejo, Prabal Gurung, and John Bartlett bravely situated their precious innovations outdoors, where they stand defenseless to drunk tourists, jaded New Yorkers, and the rebellious youth.

Yet, while the Ad Council's futile anti-teen drinking messages are constantly decorated by perma-marker-wielding highschoolers, the design displays fortunately remain unscathed.
Bravo, New York, for preserving fashion. Karl loves you.

It was this morning, post-Sunday brunch, when I sauntered into Lois Eastlund on Ludlow Street, just steps away from Stanton Social. Sixties-inspired, bold and minimal, the dresses at Lois Eastlund offered the brand of stylish simplicity that matched my Sunday morning mood. I grabbed a handful of bright, knit mini-dresses, gushed to the designer, and instantly decided to give my wardrobe a fun, Twiggy-esque makeover.

Even after the buzz from my mimosas wore off, the post-purchase excitement remained. The unique boutique can be found at 153 Ludlow St. near Stanton.
